Team Shanghai Nightmare

甘泉：美籍华人，生于北京，6岁移居美国，在加州长大；2006年获加州大学伯克利分校电子工程以及计算机学士学位；2008年获得斯坦福大学机械工程硕士学位。他的主要研究方向为机器人，曾在多家顶级公司就职，包括：英特尔、微软、奥迪、喷气推进实验室等。业余时间，他喜欢风筝冲浪、滑雪、跑步、骑车等户外运动。

徐佳理：出生并成长于上海，获同济大学艺术与设计专业的学士及硕士学位，并获得多个国际设计奖项。她毕业后曾就职于英特尔中国研发中心，主要研究用户体验设计。

2008年末，甘泉和徐佳理相遇于英特尔。这对伉俪迅速发现他们将各自能力的整合，能激发更大的理想，他们不再安于大公司的“美丽光环”，决定自主创业。

他们创办了五素创意，一个多元化、充满无限潜能的设计公司。上海梦魇品牌是五素创意的第一次尝试，2009上海梦魇的成功以及家人和朋友的支持，给了他们继续前进的勇气和决心。他们确信：没有什么是做不到的！

Quan Gan is a Chinese-American who was born in Beijing and moved to the US when he was 6. Quan grew up in California and graduated with a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley in 2006 and obtained his M.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in 2008. His primary focus was robotics and he has worked for several top-tier engineering organizations including: Intel, Microsoft, Audi, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. During his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as kitesurfing, snowboarding, running, and cycling.

Charlie Xu was born, raised, and educated in Shanghai. She graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in Art & Design from Tongji University. During her scholastic career, she had been internationally recognized for several of her design projects. Shortly after her graduation, she joined Intel R&D China to work as a rotation engineer specializing in user interface design. She enjoys singing, swimming, and playing the guitar.

Quan Gan and Charlie Xu met in 2008 while working at Intel. The couple quickly found out that their combined skills of engineering and art would allow them to touch the sky. Realizing that they just weren’t the corporate life type of people, they decided to create something of their own.

The two founded E5 Design as a design company with many outreaching facets. Shanghai Nightmare 2009 became their first shot at entrepreneurship and taught them many lessons not learned in school or at a large company. The success of Shanghai Nightmare and support from friends and family has given them the strength and determination to continue. The possibilities are endless.
